Workshops: an update

As many of you may have seen, our lovely friends at The Cult of Coffee are now open again, but only for takeaway at this stage - please pop in and support them if you can by buying your coffees, scones and cakes from them! I can particularly recommend the cheese scones - they're first rate!

Unfortunately, I think it may be a while yet before we can safely plan for workshops to take place inside the premises, so an email has been sent this morning to everyone who had booked on to one of our workshops that had to be cancelled in April and June, outlining your options - if you don't see the email in your inbox, please check junk folders or get in touch ( and we'll re-send the email to you.

We are in regular contact with Cult of Coffee, but I think we're in complete agreement that we don't want to schedule in new workshop dates until we can be sure that they can be run safely and without presenting any risk to anyone's health.

As soon as we are at the point of being able to book new dates in, we'll be giving those who had previously registered an exclusive priority booking window before dates are released for public booking but will then announce them on here and on our Facebook page.

Other news

There are some early signs of craft fairs starting to be rescheduled, although many have already made the decision not to reschedule any for 2020. As soon as we have confirmed dates for any craft fairs, we'll post details here and on Facebook.

To reflect the fact that we've now been in lockdown for far longer than I think many of us anticipated, and we may still have a while to do, we've now added a music tuition booking facility to the Tawbis Studios Music site. We're offering a discount for online lessons in comparison to in-person lessons, and a free taster session for new potential students, but please contact us first if you want to sign up as a new student: some instruments may not lend themselves as well to online tuition as others!

As we're not able to meet our lovely customers at the range of craft fairs we would normally be present at, we'll be making some changes to our website over the coming days to introduce free UK postage and packaging.

Finally, we have some exciting new lines of jewellery in development and coming very soon - watch this space!
